Internship Opportunities

Farm Arts Collective will offer three paid internship positions in acting and production. Students will work from June 15 to August 9 and will receive an honorarium of $800. Housing will be offered if needed.

REHEARSALS - Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, and select Saturday afternoons at Farm Arts Collective.

PRODUCING - Students will also be required to work  4-8 hours per week to help produce the project. For example helping with administration, marketing, public relations, special promotional events in the community.

JOB DESCRIPTION - We are seeking students in acting, singing, music, design, and in technical and theatre production.  We are also leaving the option open to these students to participate in farming activities if they are interested in agriculture and we would work on a schedule through the Willow Wisp Organic Farm management team.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE - Students have a unique opportunity to become involved in a large-scale professional theatre production at Farm Arts Collective, a company recognized for its innovative work. To work with artists and farmers on a creative theatre project about the land, climate change resiliency, and environmental stewardship is a rare opportunity to not only be creative, and gain professional theatrical experience, but to also contribute to a community effort to speak about important issues of the day.  Professional experience at this stage of a student’s life is very formative and meaningful.

INTERESTED STUDENTS - Please send a letter to Artistic Director, Tannis Kowalchuk to share your interest and to set up an interview. All letters should include a brief biography or a resume. Please send letters to: Tannis@farmartscollective.org
