Farm Arts Collective will host a free community gathering in celebration of International Women's Day. The 2026 theme for the United Nations International Women’s Day (IWD 2026) is “Rights. Justice. Action. For ALL Women and Girls.” The day calls for action to dismantle all barriers to equal justice: discriminatory laws, weak legal protections, and harmful practices and social norms that erode the rights of women and girls.

Farm Arts Collective’s event will feature scenes and music from Scattered Seeds of Troy a new feminist anti-war performance by Farm Arts Collective, along with guest presentations by women farmers and artists, and interactive seed planting activities. The event is sponsored in part by Women In Philanthropy (Wayne County Community Foundation). 

Participants are invited bring baked goods to share. Coffee will be provided.  The event is free and all genders are welcome.

Participants are also invited to bring any and all resource material that you feel is helpful for women and people Identifying as women to be displayed on our resource table.
